  • The Farmhouse Podere Castellare is a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, situated at 20 km from Florence, near the national Park of Vallombrosa, the property is part of the Chianti area and extends for 35 hectares. Immersed amongst olive groves, wine yards and cypresses it offers stunning views and tranquillity. Podere Castellare has been transformed using a total ecological concept into a delightful sort of hotel in the countryside. The farmhouse produces also its own biological extra-virgin oil which can be bought directly in the place.

    The common leaving area consists of a nice sitting room with sofas and armchairs, bookcase and little tables, and like the rest of the house it is furnished to a high standard. In the property there are extensive gardens and terraces to relax and enjoy the view, a swimming pool (15 m) with sun beds and tables and sun umbrellas. Changing rooms facilities with shower and a little bar are also provided. Among the facilities there is also a tennis court which can also be transformed in a 5 aside football pitch, a well equipped fitness centre with gym, sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi. We have also mountain bikes at your disposal. Massages on request.

    It is always possible to enjoy our delicious meals both at lunch and dinner as the restaurant serves traditional homemade Tuscan dishes prepared, using all genuine products, by our cook Lorena. Our restaurant will be close every Tuesday for the day-off.
    We organize also kitchen courses and wine and oil tasting with typical food. The cellar and vineyard tours nearby, with off road excursion, may be another interesting wine experience.
    We are personally concerned with the well-being of our guests and do our best to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

    Our guests always appreciate our countryside, the traditional cuisine, the excellent selection of wines all coming from the area and our meticulous service. Every morning we will greet you with an inviting buffet breakfast on the terrace, with fresh fruits, homemade cakes and biscuits, yogurt and other tasty things.
